Payment Options

The CHF Academy now offers three options for payment:

• REGISTER TODAY: Pay in full by check, PayPal or major credit card.
• HOLD YOUR SPOT: Hold your spot with 1/3 down and the balance is due two weeks before the class starts. ($20 processing fee applies)
• SIX-MONTH PAYMENT PLAN: Register for two or more classes for just $99 down. Then make six regular monthly payments, until paid in full. ($65 finance charge applies)

Join industry veteran Scot Robbins for this comprehensive and exhilarating five-day, hands-on experience learning basic to advanced upholstered cornice fabrication methods.

 

Observe Scot Robbins as he demonstrates professional techniques for designing and fabricating basic upholstered cornices, then participate in the step-by-step construction of full-size cornice samples for your portfolio sample kit. Complete one straight bottom cornice with plywood construction and one shaped-bottom (or shaped-top) cornice with bendable fiberboard construction and add embellishments such as welt cord and decorative braid trim. Build these cornices from scratch using a variety of layered materials and increase your confidence as you use hand-held power tools to cut and construct your materials with the help and support of a veteran instructor.

 

In addition, Scot will share design, measuring and pricing tips to prepare you for the challenges of bay window angles and corner windows. You will explore advanced cornice construction techniques and creating EVEN MOREmore for your portfolio sample kit. Advanced topics include arched cornices with shaped dust caps, pagodas, lambrequins, and embellishment techniques such as shaped banding, shirred banding, ant-trails, cut-outs, button tufting, foam rolls and multiple welt trim. Learn how to translate scale drawings and create perfect templates for complicated styles, and participate in creative brainstorming and development of interesting new techniques using the latest materials.
